Check in to a court

Open a court from the map, then tap Here now or On my way. Here now uses your location to confirm you are actually at the court. On my way lets you set when you will arrive so people can plan. Change your status or leave any time.

On my way vs here now

On my way means you are heading to the court, with an arrival time, so you show up in who is coming. Here now means you are at the court, confirmed by your location, and you show in who is here.

Holding a court

Form a crew, then win runs at a court off real check-ins. A team that wins holds the court, flies its colour and crest on it, and climbs the London ladder. Because holding is built on real check-ins at the court, nobody can fake it.

Reliability rep

Reliability rep is the quiet trust score for pickup. Say you are coming and actually turn up, and it climbs. It lets other hoopers see who is good for their word before a run.

Report or block someone

Open the player profile or the run, then use Report or Block. Blocking hides the two of you from each other across the app. Reports come straight to us and we action them quickly, usually within 24 hours. See the house rules for what is not allowed.

Delete your account

In the app, open Settings, then Delete account, and confirm. That erases your profile, photos, check-ins, and friendships, and hands off any teams you captain. Cannot open the app? Use the Delete your data page for a web request route.

Frequently asked

Is it free?

Yes. GotNext is free to download and free to use. No ads, no paywall on the core app.

When does it launch?

We are in closed testing right now, going wider soon. Get on the tester list and we will email your invite. Android testers get in first.

Which courts are covered?

We are starting with three London courts packed all summer: Blue Cage in Deptford, Turnpike Lane, and Clapham. More are being added deliberately, court by court.

How do I get in early?

Fill in the tester form on this page with your email and your phone. We are in Google Play closed testing, so we add testers in batches and email the invite.

Do I need to check in for it to work?

You can browse the live map and read court intel without checking in. Checking in is what makes the map honest: it shows other hoopers you are there or on your way, and it powers who is coming.

Is my location and data safe?

Your location is used on your device to centre the map and to confirm you are at a court before a here-now check-in. We do not store your coordinates on our servers, and we never track you in the background. A check-in records the court you picked, not your position. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

iPhone and Android?

Both are built. Android testing opens first because of how the Play closed test rolls out, with iPhone close behind. Pick your phone on the tester form so we invite you to the right one.
